Explore the Wild: Discover the Beauty of the Botswana
Located in the Okavango Delta, 4 Rivers Camp enjoys exclusive use of the western side of the enormous Kwara Private Concession. Only in 2023 did this isolated area, the last pristine vestige of the Okavango, open to pioneering guests. This is the great unexplored!
Set on the banks of the Tsum Tsum River, 4 Rivers Camp is tucked into ancient woodlands and looks across a permanent hippo-filled lagoon to Maboa Island, a stunning landscape to be discovered on nature walks — our specialty!
This area is a refuge to stunning biodiversity due to its confluence of waterways, open plains and forested islands. The wide variety of wildlife includes African wild dogs, lions and leopards and a large cross-section of plains game. Explore this beautiful area on foot, by vehicle or silently through the Delta by seasonal mokoro.
Designed for a classic bush experience, the 4 Rivers Camp has nine large spacious en-suite tents (including a family tent) featuring a pretty patio, lounge area, plus indoor and outdoor showers. Guests can enjoy delicious meals in the main communal area, which includes a dining room and a bar. Additional amenities include a safari shop and cosy lounge areas.
Spacious Meru tents raised on stilts above the river banks of the Tsum Tsum. With both indoor and outdoor showers, these large tents are a home from home enjoying beautiful views of the Okavango Delta. Relax in a comfortable arm chair or watch the elephants swim the Tsum Tsum River from privacy of your verandah. Each room is a short walk via a raised boardwalk to the main area, dining room and pool.
The Family tent, otherwise known as Tent 4, is found a short walk from the main area and dining room. The room consists of two large Meru tents (the kids room being slightly smaller) both with an indoor shower while the main tent also has an outdoor shower.
In the expansive Kwara Private Reserve, where 4 Rivers Camp finds its home, game drives offer the flexibility to venture off-road both during daylight hours and after sunset. This unique approach enhances the game-viewing experience, granting guests remarkable opportunities for wildlife encounters and photography. Day and night safaris provide a comprehensive exploration of the reserve’s diverse ecosystems and the creatures that inhabit them.
Exploring the delta from a fresh perspective, mokoros prove to be an exceptional means of gaining a deeper appreciation of this unique landscape. It’s a seasonal experience at 4 Rivers Camp, closely linked to water levels, which adds an element of anticipation and wonder to your adventure, ensuring you engage with the ever-changing face of the delta throughout the year.
Year-round, our guided nature walks are available at 4 Rivers Camp, and they proceed unless our expert guides determine any safety concerns during specific conditions. Your safety and the preservation of this natural wonder are our top priorities, ensuring a holistic experience that’s both informative and secure.
