Delta Camp

Explore the Wild: Discover the Beauty of the Botswana

Overview

The principle underpinning Delta Camp is that the Okavango was, in its prehistoric form, pristine, and that every intervention comes at a cost to that pristine natural and cultural environment. The Delta Camp vision is to strive and consider every action and to understand that each has a mitigating factor and a concomitant benefit. With each ‘pro’ weighed carefully against its ‘con’, they offer guests the highest standards of comfort consistent with the pure elegance of the environment itself.

What to Expect

The focus is on peace and tranquility at Delta Camp (stalking game on foot provides all the excitement one could wish for) and guests are actively encouraged to visit the local village, home to the guides, and to interact with the people there.

Dine in the elegant dining room overlooking the sweep of the Delta, viewing the surrounding flood-plains and the wildlife that abounds. Another option is to take a beautifully prepared picnic on to one of the many nearby islands for a secluded and intimate experience.

For those who do not know, Delta Camp offers arguably the purest Traditional Okavango Delta experience – each of the 7 chalets is assigned its very own private guide to explore the area around Chiefʼs Island on mokoro and on foot.

Traditional safari experience with your own private guide, luxurious accommodation and fantastic price = Great product!

The choice of fresh vegetables, cheeses, excellent meats and fine wines flown in daily and lovingly prepared, maintain the camp’s enviable reputation for cuisine.
