Nestled deep within the Okavango Delta, Kala Camp, the newest addition to the Setari Family, beckons adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike. Located approximately 12 km southwest of Setari Camp, Kala enjoys a picturesque setting overlooking the expansive floodplains and a palm forest beyond. The camp offers a traditional, intimate experience with a main area perfect for bush dining and breathtaking sunset views. With a swimming pool and a serene atmosphere, Kala provides an ideal escape into the heart of the Okavango Delta. The seasonal safaris, including boating, mokoros, and walking expeditions, offer a chance to explore the Delta’s diverse landscapes and wildlife from April to September, making Kala a captivating destination.
Kala Camp, with its traditional charm, features 12 beds, creating an intimate and exclusive atmosphere for guests. The main area offers comfortable spaces for relaxation and dining, accompanied by stunning Delta views. Boating, mokoro safaris, and walking expeditions are seasonal activities, enriching the experience from April to September. During the ‘dry’ months from October to April, Kala introduces game drives alongside boating experiences. The camp’s amenities include a swimming pool, creating a perfect blend of wilderness and comfort. As part of the Setari Family, Kala Camp complements the flagship Setari Camp and the exclusive Treehouse, providing a range of experiences amidst the enchanting Okavango Delta landscapes.
Kala Camp has a total of 7 tents, each combining tradition with comfort. Each tent has an en-suite shower room with hot and cold running water and a separate WC. The beds can be made up as a twin or double configuration and are all extra length. Bed linen is all pure cotton. The tents also have a fan, a writing desk and chair as well as 2 comfortable chairs both in and outside the tent.
4 x 4 Game drives are offered at Kala Camp between October and April depending on the flood levels.
Boating is offered as a safari activity between the months of May and September depending on flood levels.
Traditional Mokoro rides are offered from Kala between the months of May and September depending on flood levels.
Guided walking safaris are offered year round. Maximum group size of 7 with an armed guide and back up guide.
